National Organization Recognizes Cabrini Figure Skater

Hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed. The Wyandotte Figure Skating Club recently received notification from United States Figure Skating that four high school graduating senior club members have received special recognition for their dedication to the sport. This recognition is applied for by the skaters and is reviewed and selected by USFS officials.

Alumni Spotlighted in Catholic Schools Week Feature

New Senior Award Aims to Increase Participation

At this year’s senior banquet the athletic department introduced a new award to be given out annually to a select group of graduating seniors.  The new accolade has been named the Iron Monarch Award and will be given to any senior who played 12 sports consecutively through out their high school career at Cabrini, meaning

Figure Skating Event #2 Results

The Monarch figure skaters took to the ice this past Wednesday at Southgate Arena with many alumni skaters in attendance to cheer them on.  The A squad of Gabby Blake and Lauren Harven took first in moves and 3rd in jumps and spins.  The C team of Kaitlin LeVesseur and Alexandrea Foy finished 5th in

Figure Skating Does Well at First Event

Recently the Monarch figure skating team competed in their first event at Southgate Arena.  The A squad (Gabby Blake) finished 3rd in jumps, 3rd in spins (Lauren Harven), and 2nd in jumps (Blake, Harven). The C team comprised of Allie Foy and Kaitlin LeVesseur finished 5th in moves and 6th in jumps and spins.  Event #2

Winter Sports Parent Meeting

There is a mandatory parent meeting this Thursday (Nov 19) night at 7:00 pm for parents of high school athletes playing a winter sport.  The meeting will take place in the high school cafeteria.  After the general session the coaches will meet with their respective team’s parents.

Winter Sports Tryout Information

All athletes trying out for a winter sport must have a sports physical on file with the athletic department.  Please contact athletics to make sure your athlete is eligible to tryout.
