Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · Track Invitational Results


The Cabrini Track and Field team headed to Dearborn Divine Child for the Mark Carpenter Invitational. The Monarchs continue to show improvements in their results as they post many personal records.

The boys were highlighted by Michael Graf taking tenth place in the 800m placing him at the fifth spot in the region (2:10.16). The distance runners posted solid performance for the boys, including Dylan Ortiz running a 5:15.59 in the 1600m. Mitchell Russelburg ran a season best 11:07.41 to finish 11th place in the 3200m. The sprinters rounded out the night with Andrew Riha running a 12.39 in the 100m and Jacksen Kamen running a 25.55 in the 200m.

Throws also concluded with Noah Hamid taking 24th place in discus with a throw of 85-06.5 and  33-09.5 in shot put. Jumps brought a strong appearance with Andrew Riha jumping a new personal record (17-06) and Evan Trohimczyk tying his personal best of 5-05 in the high jump.

The 4x400m boys relay, consisting of Jacksen Kamen, Maximiliano Iglesias, Dylan Ortiz and Michael Graf took recorded a time of 3:59.83. The 4x800m boys relay placed ninth as Dylan Ortiz, Mitchell Russelburg, Jimmy Hao and Michael Graf combined for a time of 9:27.46.

The girls were highlighted by Mikayla Trumbla finishing 14th in the 100m with a time of 13.48 setting a season best. In the 800m, Alana Maffesoli recorded a 2:58.51 while Meghan Carr recorded a 7:07.75 in the 1600m. The sprinters rounded out the day as Mikayla Trumbla recorded a time of 1:11.06 in the 400m and Grace Sabo recorded a 31.21 in the 200m.

The girls field events were highlighted by Lena Hazimeh recording a huge personal best in the long jump (16-00) taking sixth place and putting her in 1st for the region. Alana Maffesoli lead the shot put team with a season opening throw of 25-01. Finishing in eleventh place in the high jump was Mary Deziewit with a jump of 4-02.

The girls relays were rounded out by Mary Dziewit, Yoselin Duran, Alana Maffesoli and Mikayla Trumbla putting together a time of 4:46.86 in the 4x400m relay. The 4x800m relay team of Meghan Carr, Emily Bucon, Yoselin Duran and Ava Hazimeh finished with a time of 13:49.61.
