Boys Soccer Defeats Cristo Rey

Girls-Soccer.jpg

On Thursday night the Cabrini Monarchs took the field vs. the Cristo Rey Wolves.  The Monarchs looked impressive on their home field with a decisive 6-2 victory.  The first half featured a flurry of goals by Camden Brzys who netted a hatrick by the 33rd minute.  The Wolves did fight back and by the end of the first half the score was 3-2 Cabrini.

Cabrini started the second half very strong adding two more goals by the 63rd minute.  Defensively, the Monarchs were stellar rejecting all scoring attempts by the Wolves and Jimmy Fister made some wonderful saves keeping Cristo Rey scoreless in the second half.  The Monarchs final goal came from some clever give-and-go passing between Camden Brzys and Tim Gordon.  With Gordon putting the Monarchs up 6-2.
The Monarchs improve to 7-7-2 on the season and finish regular season play this week at home Tuesday at 6:00 pm and then Thursday at Clarenceville.
